Identity verification (KYC)

CoinVertus is a non-custodial wallet. As with Bitcoin Core or Litecoin Core, the user controls the funds. CoinVertus cannot freeze or hold funds in a user’s wallet. Customers can create a wallet and receive or send coins and tokens without identity verification. No passport, selfie or other documents are required.

Registration and transaction confirmation

At registration, the user provides an email address and chooses a username and password.

To send coins or tokens, the user must confirm the transaction with a one-time code from Google Authenticator or a code sent to the verified email address. The code confirms that the account owner has approved the transaction. A one-time code is also required for other security-sensitive actions. If the user has enabled Google Authenticator, a code from the app is also required at sign-in.
